Iranian short film ‘I am Zal’ (I am Albino) is slated to vie at the International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva in Switzerland.

Written and directed by Houman Naderi, the film will be screened at the 2019 edition of the Swiss event.

‘I am Zal’ tells the story of a boy with Albinism who is supposed to play the role of the legend of Albinism in a school play, but his mother just like last time punishes him and wants to stop him from taking part in the show.

Daniel’s teachers notice that he has been once again beaten, but this time they stand up against his mother.

The film was named the Best Film at the 14th edition of the Indonesian Film Festival (IFF) in Australia.

The FIFOG is an important cinematographic event in the cultural landscape of French-speaking Switzerland, which promotes cinema, diversity and intercultural dialogue. It annually presents 100 films of all genres, along with about 60 guests from around the world.

The 14th edition of the FIFOG is slated for April 29-May 5, 2019, in Geneva.
